We are currently working with our client based in Aberdeen who is looking for Senior Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their team on a contract basis up to 10 months.


Main responsibilities:

  • Supervise purchase ledger department
  • Ensure monthly invoicing is done in a timely manner and deadlines are exceeded (not just met)
  • Invoices over £5k – second level approval
  • Sage invoice input approval
  • Supervision of cheque spreadsheet
  • BACS Payments – Plus double check of any cheque payments completed
  • Process of GBP and USD bank accounts
  • Input dollar transactions onto Sage
  • Produce suggested payments at month end
  • Collating of information required for VAT return
  • Aged Creditors
  • NCR Supervision
  • Expenses – expenses approval plus produce month end collation

  • Generate report at month end to show purchase orders created in that month

  • Credit Card – spreadsheet admin and input payments onto Sage

  • Canada and Australia quarterly HST/GST returns

  • Admin relating to Access transition

  • Audit and tax administration duties

  • Any other work required by the Accounts Manager
